A CHANDLER'S Ford woman died after falling from a horse, an inquest heard.
Lesley Ann Morton, of Clausentum Close, was pronounced dead at Southampton General Hospital on March 30.
Winchester Coroner's Court heard the 56-year-old sustained head injuries after falling from the horse she was riding.
A post mortem report states the preliminary cause of death as an Anoxic brain injury. These are caused by a complete lack of oxygen being provided to the brain.
The report adds that Ms Morton went into cardiac arrest before reaching the hospital.
Area coroner Jason Pegg adjourned the full hearing to October 19, to be heard at Winchester Coroner's Court.
