A WINCHESTER man has lost his driving licence for 13 months after he was caught over the alcohol limit.

Harry John Clements, 25, of Garbett Road, Winnall, was intercepted by the police on Easton Lane, Winnall, on March 13, whilst he was driving a 05-reg Vauxhall Corsa.

When breathalysed his alcohol reading was 42 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath when the limit is 35.

Clements pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates Court and was disqualified, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £33.99 victim surcharge and £40 costs.

He also admitted driving with no insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence and was fined £160.

His 13-month ban will be cut by 13 weeks if he passes an approved course by December 5 this year.
