TWO main roads in Colden Common will be closed for works at the end of the month.

The B3335 Highbridge Road and Lower Moors Road will undergo surface treatment on April 28.

Work is expected to last one day and the closures will be in place between 9.30am and 3pm if all goes to plan.

A spokesperson for Hampshire County Council said: "As part of Operation Resilience, Hampshire County Council’s programme to make Hampshire’s roads more resilient to the effects of extreme weather and heavy traffic, this is to advise of upcoming remedial surface treatment works along the B3335 Highbridge Road, between Pitmore Road and Kiln Lane, and Lower Moors Road, between Highbridge Road and Spring Lane.

"The second application of the treatment is usually carried out within 7 days of the first, and the roads will be closed again to carry out the works.

"The works are weather sensitive and the date is subject to change. Yellow warning signs giving the most up to date information will be erected at the works limits. These will be updated as soon as possible in the event of any programme changes.

"Thank you for your co-operation."
