I WAS disappointed to read Peter North's letter criticising Saint's manager Ralph Hasenhuttl (Echo Letters April 17th)

He has brought a spirit and an enthusiasm to the club which has been lacking for many a year and he can only work with the squad that he has. The Premiership results have been poor in 2021 but that must be due, in large part, to a so many injuries in a small squad.

Peter says that the Board must act now but that is where the problem lies. A distinct lack of investment in the squad.

He goes on to say that inaction is not an option. Sadly I'm afraid that it is and it is one that has been followed by previous owners. We all remember the Rupert Lowe years (and how disastrously that all ended).

Give Ralph a 10 year contract now before the likes of Bayern Munich come calling.
