EMERGENCY services raced to a three-car pile-up in Southampton city centre.
Firefighters were called following a three-car collision at the junction of Bedford Place and Henstead Road at around 7pm last night.
One person was able to climb free from their vehicle and was later handed over to paramedics.
Crews from St Mary's Fire Station attended with the stop message coming in at 7.27pm.
A post on the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire Control Twitter page said: "StMarys54 attending a road traffic collision with a person trapped in Henstead Road, Southampton. Time of call: 18:49.
"Stop received at 19:27 for the road traffic collision in Southampton. RTC involving three vehicles, one casualty self extricated from one of the vehicle."
