UPDATE: The ferry service resumed at 11.30am
FERRY services between Southampton and the Isle of Wight have been put on hold.
All Red Funnel services have been suspended due to reduced visibility this morning.
The operator will keep travellers updated throughout the day and has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
The Met Office has forecast 'medium' visibility until around lunchtime, however, conditions are expected to improve in the afternoon to 'good' and 'very good'.
Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to reach 15c at around 3pm.
A post on the Red Funnel Twitter page said: "Please note: All Red Funnel services are currently suspended until further notice due to reduced visibility. Our next update will be at approx 09:00. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to your journey."
