A PROBE into a fight involving an armed gang in Southampton is ongoing.

Officers continue to investigate the facts surrounding a public order incident outside Orchard House in Orchard Lane, Southampton.

One man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following the confrontation on March 29. Police taped off a large area of the Holyrood Estate and appealed to anyone with CCTV footage from the area.

Seven men from the city were later arrested in connection with the incident.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug, violent disorder and section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.

A 21-year-old man, 24-year-old man, 26-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.

And a 28-year-old was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence.

According to police, no one has been charged and the investigation is ongoing.
