POLICE are searching for a man after a teenager was assaulted on her way to college.
Yesterday, a 17-year-old girl was assaulted by a man she did not know in Houndwell Park, Southampton, at around 9.30am.
The man approached her and punched her twice in the side of the head. No injuries were reported.
He is described as white, early 30's, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, dark short hair and stubble.
He was also seen wearing a black satchel and black leather jacket.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "We can confirm that we received reports of an assault of a 17-year-old girl yesterday (28 April) in Houndwell Park, Southampton.
"An unknown man approached her and punched her twice in the side of the head. No injuries were reported.
"He is described as white, early 30's, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, dark short hair and stubble. He was also seen wearing a black satchel and black leather jacket.
"Were you in the area at the time? Did you see what happened?
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting 44210161220."
