A SOUTHAMPTON man has been jailed for 28 months for drug dealing offences.
Jami Lee Singh caught with drugs during a stop and search in Proctor Close, Southampton.
Officers then searched a property in Tatwin Crescent where they found a haul of heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis, with a total street value of £3,990.
Appearing before Southampton Crown Court he was charged and pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and a single count of possessing a Class B.
For the offences which happened on February 25 last year, Singh, of Burke Drive, Southampton, was jailed for 28 months.
Commenting on the case, Inspector Hayley O’Grady said: “This is an excellent result following a proactive stop and search.
“Our High Harm and Neighbourhoods teams continue to ensure Southampton is a hostile environment for drug dealers to operate.
“We are committed to doing everything we can to tackle drugs and associated crime in our city and keep our communities safe. I hope this reassures our local community that this remains a priority for us and that we are continuing to disrupt drug dealing in Southampton.”
