A MOTORCYCLE rider has sustained life threatening injuries in a serious crash on a Hampshire road.
On Saturday evening, a blue Kawaski ZR750 motorcycle was involved in a serious crash on the B2177.
The rider, a 33-year-old man from Winchester was travelling East on Winchester Road towards Bishop's Waltham at the time.
He has been taken to Southampton General Hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries in the crash and remains in a critical state.
Now police have launched an appeal to find witnesses to the incident.
They are particular keen to identify the rider of a cruiser-type motorcycle, possible a Harley Davidson, which they believe was travelling slightly ahead of the motorcycle.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, following a serious road traffic collision on the B2177.
"Were you travelling in the area at the time? Did you see what happened? Perhaps you saw a motorcycle matching the description of the cruiser-type bike?
"Anyone with information, or dash-cam footage, is asked to call 101, quoting 44210166661.
"Alternatively, you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
