THE sale of a string of land in Badger Farm has been postponed.

This newspaper previously reported that the liquidation of a building company has raised concerns about a large greenspace in the parish.

It had been up for £5,000 on Rightmove, along with other small patches of land, and was expected to be sold by the end of April.

The auction is now scheduled for May 27.

Davis Developments, which owned the string of undeveloped plots, has gone bankrupt and its liquidator has ordered the sale of sites – including the park off Barley Down Drive.

But local city councillor Brian Laming was battling to keep it as a space for residents.
