A SOUTHAMPTON road is to be closed to fix a sinking issue this week.
St Mary’s Road will be closed on Thursday, May 6, to allow work to be carried out to fix a subsidence issue.
Subsidence is when an area of ground starts to sink due to movement of material underground.
The southbound lane of the road will be closed between 9.30am to 3.30pm between Clovelly Road to St Mary's Leisure Centre.
