I have just seen your article in the Echo remembering the the wonderful day in 1976, when the Saints won the cup.
I was lucky enough to be at Wembley that day and it will live with me forever.
I also received the package of Lawrie and the boys of 76.
Fantastic DVD bringing back all the memories.
Then I realised the great man Lawrie McMenemy has never been properly honoured by Southampton Football Club.
I was wondering whether fans like myself of a certain age could start a campaign to get one of the stands named in his honour.
It would be a little gesture to the man who was the main architect behind the success, the greatest day Southampton have ever had.
Lawrie is in his senior years now, so its about time we show him how much this city think of him.
Thank you in anticipation.
