TWO PEOPLE have been charged following a knife fight in Southampton.
James Stevenson-Mackie, aged 18, of James Weld Close, Southampton has been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place and affray.
A 17-year-old boy from Southampton who cannot be named for legal reasons has also been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place and affray.
It comes after police were alerted to reports of around three people fighting in Guildhall Square armed with knives.
However, no one was injured following the confrontation at around 4.30pm on Thursday, April 29.
Both suspects appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on May 1.
They were released on conditional bail and are next due to appear at the same court on May 7.
