POLICE in a Hampshire village arrested a man wanted for 'numerous' offences whilst on a patrol yesterday.

The man, wanted in connection with cases of assault and criminal damage, was identified by Test Valley officers in Chilworth yesterday afternoon.

A post on Test Valley Police's Facebook page read: "While patrolling Lordswood in Chilworth this afternoon, in response to the anti-social use of motorcycles, a male was spotted deliberately avoiding police.

"It turns out his reluctance to say hello was down to the fact he was wanted for numerous offences of unprovoked assaults and damage.
