SOUTHAMPTON'S Itchen Bridge has reopened after it was closed for a concern for welfare.
Hampshire Police said they were called just before 3pm today to reports of a concern for welfare on the Itchen Bridge.
The road was closed in both directions with traffic building up on Terminus Terrace and Central Bridge as a result.
The road has now been reopened.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 2.50pm today, 12 May, to reports of a concern for welfare on the Itchen Bridge.
"The road was briefly closed for around ten minutes, but is now open."
