A CONCERN for welfare sparked a large-scale emergency response in Southampton yesterday evening.
Police, South Central Ambulance Service, lifeguards and Hill Head Coastguard Rescue responded around 8pm to concerns for the welfare of a woman in a car park on Weston Lane.
A tweet posted by Hillhead Coastguard yesterday showed the large response, listing some of the crews involved, including firefighters from Redbridge and St Mary's.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We received a report shortly before 8pm on Saturday 15 May relating to the concern for welfare of a woman on Weston Parade, Southampton.
"Officers attended and the woman was located."
The incident was resolved "safely" by 10pm.
