AS MANY indoor venues open across the city from today, Southampton's famous theatre will not be.

But fear not, the Mayflower theatre will be reopening next month.

Bosses announced back in April that it will be officially reopening on June 25 this year.

They say this is so the theatre can host a full audience.

And, to celebrate their reopening, the theatre will be opening with a new dance show, Draw From Within, from dance company Rambert.

As reported, the statement said: "We can now officially announce that the theatre will be reopening from June 25.

"Subject to governmental advice, we'll be opening with a brand new dance show, Draw From Within from the brilliantly ambitious dance company Rambert, then we have a whole host of brand new shows and some old favourites just gone on sale, see the link below for our full programme so far.

"It's been a long time coming and now we're nearly there - we can't wait to welcome you back."
