A CARE assistant is celebrating after winning an art competition for her pandemic and WW2 inspired work.
Jazz Crowder, a care assistant at Netley Court care home has been announced as the winner in an art competition organised by Cinnamon Care Collection.
The assistant won the competition for her art work inspired by the 1942 war time ‘We Can Do It” poster by J. Howard Millar, featuring “Rosie The Riveter”, representing carers working "tirelessly" throughout the pandemic.
The art work will now be used in a marketing campaign to thank the social care profession for their work throughout the pandemic.
Jazz Crowder, said: “Throughout this pandemic I have been continually taken aback at the kindness and determination of all my colleagues around me to do their best for everyone, regardless of their own personal fears and uncertainties. I think this image captures this strength and our route out of the pandemic through the vaccine programme,” concludes Jazz.
