SOUTHAMPTON has been ranked as the fourth best city in the country for a staycation.
Heating and boiler company, Heating Force has created a list of the best cities in the country for a staycation, ranking Southampton as the fourth best city.
The list took into consideration factors such as annual sunshine, annual rainfall, Airbnb prices, restaurant and ice cream shop ratings, alongside access to parks and outdoor activities.
Each city was then given a score out of 500 with Southampton racking up a total of 289 points.
Meanwhile, Norwich took the top spot with 329 points, closely followed by Cambridge and Oxford with 319 and 307 points respectively.
The worst city in the UK for a staycation according to the data was St Asaph with -66 points.
