WITH the controversy that Southampton Airport actually lies in the borough of Eastleigh - and suggestions from readers of The Echo that it be named Spitfire or Benny Hill Airport why not cater for Eastleigh and Southampton residents by calling it R.J. Mitchell Airport after the man who invented the Spitfire, which first flew from the airport in 1936 and who lived in Southampton.
