A SOUTHAMPTON man who initially denied attacking two prison officers must pay hefty court costs.
Daniel Peter Barr pleaded not guilty to attacking Deklan Tanner and Georgina Hurst in Winchester Prison on January 6 last year.
Barr, of Northam Road, Northam, later changed his plea but not before prosecution costs had been incurred.
Magistrates ordered Barr to pay £450 costs and £75 compensation to both officers as well as a £95 victim surcharge.
The court also imposed a community order for Barr to undertake a 21-day thinking skills programme and rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 20 days.
