Can you guess which old Southampton shop this is?
The image shows an old shop in Above Bar, Southampton.
We've blurred out the signage to make things a little more fun.
So which shop was it exactly?
It was Freeman, Hardy and Willis in Above Bar Street! Well done if you guessed correctly.
Freeman, Hardy and Willis was established in 1875 and existed for more than 120 years.
The name was also simplified to Freeman Hardy Willis many years later in order to have bolder lettering on shop signs.
The shop at one time wrapped their shoes in iconic brown paper bags emblazoned with the letters FHW which became the slogan ‘for happy walking’.
