HAMPSHIRE is set to enjoy a warm bank holiday weekend - and we may finally be able to get our shorts out!
What has been a month of heavy showers and cold weather could be coming to end according to early weather forecasts from the Met Office.
Experts have said that weather across Hampshire is to start warming up as of this weekend.
Saturday will begin to brighten up as sunshine breaks through the clouds, with highs of 17° predicted.
Sunday and Monday are expected to see highs of 17 to 18° with bright sunshine all day.
The UK will have highs of 22° by May Bank Holiday Monday, according to early forecasts.
Meteorologists predict the UK could experience highs of 24C in the early days of June as summer finally looks set to arrive on British shores.
Starting this weekend with the Met Office predicting: "It is most likely that largely dry weather will continue across much of the UK.”
The Met Office said it is expecting "mainly fine and settled conditions" from Friday onwards with the May Bank Holiday weekend "feeling locally warm in southern and central areas".
As we move into June experts predict: "High pressure will be the largely dominant feature across the UK during this period.
"This will bring mainly fine and settled conditions across the UK, with temperatures recovering and feeling locally warm in southern and central areas."
