A SOUTHAMPTON born actor, set to star in a new crime thriller TV series has urged people interested in the profession to “never give up” in the search for their big break.


Scott Rose-Marsh, 33, was born in Bitterne and with dreams of becoming an actor left Southampton to study at the Brit School in London aged 16.


But his dream was started to fade when at 31 he found himself working in telesales in Wales. 


“I didn’t think it was going to happen,” said Scott but he stayed true to his dream.

 
“The most important thing as an actor, especially TV, is there’s always a role and it’s never too late - never give up” he said to aspiring actors.

Scott is now set to star in a crime thriller called “Yr Amgueddfa (The Museum)” the first episode of which will air this Sunday at 9pm on the Welsh-channel S4C and will be available to the rest of the UK on BBC iPlayer. 


The series is set in the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff – and takes us into the dark and dangerous world of art crime.


The plot follows character Dela Howells (Nia Roberts) is a successful woman – a faithful wife to her husband and a loving mother. She has just accepted the post of director general of the museum and life is good.


On the same night that she is celebrating her new job in a party at the museum, she meets a young man and begins a passionate relationships wit him, though all is not how it appears. 


Scott, who describes his role as a “mysterious henchman” said filming, which took place in October and March of this year was “tiring” but “fantastic.”


Scott spoke of his pride in taking part in the 6-part series, produced by production company Boom.


“It’s not something I thought I’d be doing when I was working in an office.”
