POLICE are appealing for information after a pair of men broke into a family home in broad daylight.

Between 11.30am and 12.30pm on May 27, two individuals wearing dark clothing, gloves and face coverings gained entry to a property in Outer Circle, Southampton, by smashing the rear conservatory window with an unknown object.

The victim, a 38-year-old woman, and her baby were at home when the burglary took place, but were not physically harmed.

Significant damage was done inside the property, to the garden shed and to the victim’s vehicle during the incident.

The pair then fled the scene before the police arrived.

It is reported that the men also made threats to kill when confronted by a neighbour who challenged them as they were gaining entry to the victim’s garden behind the property.

It is not known what was stolen in the burglary at this time.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "Were you in the area when this incident happened? Did you see anyone acting suspiciously or fitting the description above? Did you see any suspicious vehicles?

"Officers also want to hear from anyone who might have CCTV, doorbell camera or dash cam footage of the incident.
