A HEDGE End man caught more than three times the drink drive limit has been banned from the roads.
Ian Carter was caught drink driving on Southampton Road, Park Gate, on February 14.
The 59-year-old was found to have 296 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, exceeding the legal limit of 85 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
Appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving.
Carter, of Billington Gardens, Hedge End, was disqualified from driving for 48 months and ordered to carry our 200 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85.
