A MAN has been arrested following reports of a rape on a Southampton street.
As previously reported by the Daily Echo, a man in his 50s was approached by two men unknown to him as he walked along Somerset Avenue on May 22.
One of the men then raped him in an overgrown area nearby between 9.30pm and 10.15pm.
A 19-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
He has been questioned by officers and released on police bail while enquiries continue.
