That's why we launched Southern Daily Echo Pet Idol 2021, to give a platform to doting dogs, cuddly cats, huggable hamsters, a pampered pigeon and even a pair of much-loved sheep!
Animal lovers from across Hampshire have been telling us all about the antics of their four-legged friends and just how much their pets have meant to them during the pandemic.
The entries for the contest are now in and we're looking for votes from our readers to decide which furry or fabulous friend should be crowned this year's winners.

The winner will scoop £50 of vouchers as well as making a starring apperance in the Daily Echo and online.
