A MAN has been arrested for a suspected drug offence after a stop search on a vehicle.
On Tuesday at around 12:15pm, police on Kings Copse Avenue, Hedge End carried out a routine stop search on a vehicle.
This came after the car, a blue Volkswagen was indicating as having no insurance.
A search of the vehicle was completed and a quantity of suspected Class A drugs were found.
A quantity of cash and two mobile devices were also located and seized as a result.
Now, officers say they have arrested a 23-year-old man from Southampton.
He has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug and driving without a license.
He has since been released but remains under investigation.
