A MALE has been arrested after allegedly being seen carrying an offensive weapon in Southampton.
Yesterday at around 3.15pm, police received a call telling them that a male had been seen with an offensive weapon along Benhams Road.
Officers are said to have quickly responded to the incident and the male was arrested and taken into custody soon after.
Now officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson, said: "Thankfully on this occasion no one was hurt and we thank the person who made the initial call.
