A MAN riding a stolen motorbike has been charged for failing to provide a breath specimen following a crash in Southampton.
Anthony Reed, 26, from Landguard Road, Southampton, has been charged with failing to provide breath specimen following a single vehicle collision on Kent Road, Southampton between 5.15pm and 6.10pm on Friday, June 4.
The incident involved a Yamaha motorbike carrying two people. The vehicle involved had previously been reported as stolen.
Police arrived at the scene and located the rider of the bike, who sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The pillion fled the scene before police arrived.
Reed is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 29.
Officers have arrested a 26-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and a 24-year-old man, also from Southampton, on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and criminal damage.
Both men have been questioned by officers and released under investigation.
