A HUGE pile of scrap metal at Southampton docks is on fire this morning.
A pile of scrap metal weighing around 35,000 tonnes is ablaze off Western Avenue.
Crews from St Mary's and Redbridge Fire Stations are on the scene with three engines and a ladder platform being used to tackle the fire.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the blaze shortly after 5am.

The Environment Agency has been notified and the situation is ongoing.
People living in the area are being urged to keep their windows closed.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown
