We asked you last week for your thoughts on if Covid restrictions should remain in place past June 21.

As cases of the Delta variant rise, we asked if you thought restrictions should be delayed on June 21 - or lifted anyway.

Here's some of your responses:

 1. Yes, fully open because there will always be variants so we will wait another 4-5 weeks then this Indian variant slows down and then shock another one. Just open and crack on.

2. To be fair In lockdown I did the weekly shop and went out for walks which I normally do. Apart from the mask and it being quieter at the shop it didn't really affect me. The pubs open and the weather is good for now. Let them do what they've got to. Be it a few weeks later it doesn't really matter now. Better to be safe than sorry.

3. Yes open up, but keep masks in shops etc for the time being. It's no trouble to wear a mask so it would be good to keep that a little while longer.

4. No strong opinion on exactly when to 'return to normal', but experience so far is that we've been over-eager to relax (or disobey) lockdown measures, which has only served to stretch this whole thing out longer than necessary (and result in more deaths than necessary). If we need a few more weeks to get more of the population vaccinated, then I'd be okay with waiting.

5. I think everyone knows that we should really be extending it so more people are vaccinated especially with the new variant around etc BUT what worries me is that people are fed up and just aren't going to listen anymore.

I know the full lockdown lifting will bring us back to that new normality that we all long to have but in a way, we all still have a lot more freedom now than a few months ago. We can see more people, do more activities and go to more places, if we come out too quickly we will have to go right back again and then we wont get that new normality until next year! As hard as it is, we've all got to do as we're told and continue to follow the rules so we can get our lives back quicker, once and for all!

6. Yes, Covid is not going to disappear, we can’t wait until it totally does, we have to live with it. If you are vulnerable self isolate but not a lot of point in the other 99% staying restricted, treatment is improving rapidly.

7. Rather keep on with masks etc stick to what we have now for a while longer than full lock down again in autumn. We've come a long way why ruin it and risk that again for the sake of 4 to 8 weeks. Beats being shut in again for 3 to 6 months or more.

8. We have waited this long, we can wait a while longer, more people will get vaccinated and more lives will be saved, who could be opposed to that?

9. To be honest we have freedom now, we can now go out for a drink, meal, shop, go on holiday in GB. So I think a few more weeks to be sure is better than another lockdown. We know we are going to have to live with this virus and have annual jabs , we have come a long way, so hold on in there I think.

10. Open. As long as people take and accept responsibility for their own actions. Masks, hand hygiene & social distancing in confined spaces. Even if your jabbed up u can still be a carrier.

11. There will always be variants, we now need to live with virus like we do with other diseases.
