UPDATE: The roll of carpet has now been cleared.
A LANE of a motorway has been partially blocked due to a roll of carpet in the road.
Lane two of the M27 Westbound is currently partially blocked on the exit slip road at Junction Seven for Hedge End.
This is due to a roll of carpet in the carriageway.
Now traffic officers are on their way to the blockage to remove the carpet.
Motorists are being advised to take care when travelling in the area.
