SAINTS will learn their schedule for the 2021-22 Premier League campaign with the division’s fixtures set to be announced tomorrow.

Top-flight clubs will have their campaigns mapped out, with provisional dates set to be announced at 9am.

The St Mary’s side have not won on the opening day of the league campaign since the 2013-14 season, when Rickie Lambert scored a 90th-minute penalty to seal a 1-0 away win at West Bromwich Albion.

Since then, the Hampshire side have suffered defeats to Liverpool, Burnley and Crystal Palace in their league curtain-raiser – as well as draws against Newcastle, Watford, Swansea and Burnley.

Ralph Hasenhuttl saw his side finish 15th in the pile last season, following a 3-0 defeat to West Ham to round off their campaign at London Stadium last month.

Speaking at that time, he said: “I think it is not so difficult to analyse this season, to be honest.

“When you concede the second-most goals in the Premier League then we know very clear what is missing at the moment.

"But, okay, this is what we know, this is what we have to change. Either with these players or with others."

The league campaign is scheduled to begin on Saturday, August 14, end on Sunday, May 22, 2022.

A full fixture list will be available on the Daily Echo website from tomorrow morning.
