Romsey canal - where has it gone?
Recently it is noticeable that the Barge canal between the Plaza and the Fishlake Meadows over-bridge has become extremely overgrown with overhanging vegetation. In fact it is very difficult to see that a stream is even present in some places.
The water course has to some extent become almost blocked in some places with reeds where the flow is greatly reduced.
It is to be assumed that the Environmental Board are responsible for the upkeep of this stream so one wonders just how long the present situation will be allowed to prevail before the water flow ceases completely.
