A BODY of a Southampton man has sadly been found in the garden of a home by police.
Officers had been searching for a man, Robert Hillier, who was reported missing from a Weymouth holiday park last weekend.
Mr Hillier aged 47 and also known as Jamie, was reported missing from the Haven holiday park in Preston Road at 8.43pm on Saturday June 19.
Police issued two appeals on Monday in an attempt to appeal to anyone who might have seen him.
But sadly, at 4.30pm on Monday, police received a report that the body of a man had been found in the garden of a residential property in the area of Preston Road.
Although formal identification has yet to take place, it is believed to be that of Robert, a force spokesperson said.
His next of kin have been updated of this sad development and are being supported by officers.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been made aware.
