MORE than 500 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Hampshire in 24 hours.
Public Health England figures - as recorded on the Government website at 5.07pm today - show that 520 more people have tested positive for the virus in a 24 hour period.
Across the county, there has been a total of 101,138 positive tests since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 - around 7.35 per cent of the county's population.
Below are the confirmed cases by local authority on July 5:
- Basingstoke and Deane: 48 (8,999 in total since start of pandemic)
- East Hampshire: 27 (5,267)
- Eastleigh: 55 (6,229)
- Fareham: 22 (5,613)
- Gosport: 6 (4,087)
- Hart: 27 (4,804)
- Havant: 42 (7,498)
- New Forest: 38 (6,713)
- Portsmouth: 42 (15,563)
- Rushmoor: 22 (8,258)
- Southampton: 110 (16,505)
- Test Valley: 40 (5,993)
- Winchester: 41 (5,409)
