A MAN has been charged after food was stolen from a convenience store.

Liam Thomas Wall, aged 28, of no fixed abode has been charged with theft from a shop and use of threatening / abusive / insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

This comes after a number of food items were stolen from the Co-Operative store on Winchester Road, Chandler's Ford.

The incident took place between 8.30am and 8.55am on Monday.

Now, Wall is set to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on August 5.
