AN ANNUAL survey has revealed Hampshire's best and worst GP practices, according to the patients that reply on their services.

Results from the CCG's GP Patient Survey has revealed what residents really think about all aspects of their local doctor's surgery.

Residents were asked for their opinion on a variety of elements about their practice, from booking appointments, waiting times, out-of-hours services and the quality of care given.

Across Hampshire, a total of 41,598 surveys were handed out to patients and 18,269 surveys were completed and returned.

Dr Nicola Decker, Clinical Lead at Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight CCG, told the Daily Echo: “It is encouraging that local patients rate their GP practices largely in-line with the national averages, but there is more to do.

Daily Echo:

"We will share best practice of those practices who score very highly so that we can learn from each other. Where practices are scoring below expectations, we are working with them to better understand and improve the patient experience.

"Together we want to reduce the inequalities that have been exposed by the pandemic and recognise this has been an exceptionally challenging year for everyone."
