THREE areas out of the 31 Southampton Covid clusters saw cases more than double in the latest seven-day data period.

Public Health England’s latest data showed that in the week to-July 14 those districts were Harefield (28 cases, up 16), Redbridge and Millbrook West (46 cases, up 30), and Shirley South (43 cases, up 26). Another area, Weston, saw its cases double exactly to 32, up from 16.

Yet, another 10 saw cases drop in at seven-day period, with two of those recording a decrease of more than half of their cases.

The other 17 areas all recorded increases, with the Government body’s interactive map showing a picture of rising infection rates across Southampton.
