The south coast is baking with temperatures to reach at least 30C in Southampton today.
Yesterday saw the mercury hit 30C for most of the afternoon through to the early evening.
The Met Office have issued an extreme heat warning - the first of its kind.
It will stay in place until Thursday night.
It warns: "An increased chance that some heat-sensitive systems and equipment may fail, leading to power cuts and the loss of other services to some homes and businesses
"Some delays to road, rail and air travel are possible."
