AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a Southampton fast-food outlet was broken into.
KFC says its Bursledon outlet was broken into during the early hours of Sunday morning, after a pile of bricks and debris was spotted outside the branch over the weekend.
A company spokesperson has since confirmed that KFC is working with the police to establish what happened.

They said: "“KFC Bursledon Road was broken into on Saturday night and we’re working closely with the police to find out exactly what happened. In the meantime, we have had to close the restaurant temporarily, but rest assured we’re working hard to reopen soon.”
Police previously reported that the building was damaged during the break-in on Sunday, July 18.
A police spokesperson added: "We can confirm it is being treated as an attempted burglary at this stage, although nothing appears to have been stolen.
"Officers continue to investigate, no arrests have been made at this time."
