WELSH superstar Katherine Jenkins will be performing at a Wellow school next month - and tickets are now on sale!

Held at Embley Park school, the concert is part of the fundraising weekend A Celebration of Speed, raising cash for Sir Jackie Stewart’s charity Race Against Dementia and local children’s hospice Naomi House and Jack’s Place.

The soprano has promised to put on a concert of classical music, musical theatre and a Proms finale, with orchestra, at Embley Park on the evening of August 22.

She will be joined on the evening by a special guest, West End star, John Owen-Jones, best known for his record-breaking performances as Valjean in Les Misérables and the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera.

Event Director, Mike Turnbull said: “We are really thrilled to have Katherine Jenkins headline such a prestigious event for us.

"She is a such a unique talent, and it is very special to have her perform for us and help raise funds for two such important charities.”
