A HAMPSHIRE woman has been landed with a £400 fine and banned from the roads for 18 months after getting caught drink driving.
Patricia Elizabeth McCarthy was stopped driving a Fiat Punto in Fair Oak.
The 42-year-old of Claylands Road, Bishop's Waltham was breathalysed and gave a reading of 84mgs in 100mls of breath.
The legal limit is just 35mgs meaning she was almost two and a half times the limit during the incident on June 14 this year.
Appearing before Southampton Magistrates' Court, she was charged with a single count of drink driving - she previously pleaded guilty.
McCarthy must also pay a £42 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
