This Turkish has been named as the Best Middle Eastern Restaurant in the UK twice
Found on the High Street, its owners pride themselves on fresh quality ingredients.
Amongst others, the menu features Grilled Halloumi, Chicken Shish, adana kofte and falafels
LITTLE ALEX HOMEMADE
Offering flavours from South American, Little Alex is a Brazilian and Portuguese Restaurant.
Located on St Mary Street, it is run by a husband and wife team from Brazil.
All meals are made from scratch and the venue hosts live music on some days.
5 RIVERS SPORTS BAR
As well as screening all your favourite football matches, this bar boasts a five-star rating on the review site Tripadvisor.
Located on Bevois Valley Road the menu features traditional Indian dishes as well as mixed grills.
Punters can enjoy a curry night and a basement bar area.
THE CRICKETERS
If you're looking for somewhere with traditional 'pub grub' then head to The Cricketers.
The watering hole in Carlton Place has outdoor seating and an intimate beer garden.
With real ale on tap, it also offers all the usual pub classics
SHANGHAI 1814
This Chinese restaurant on Southampton High Street has undergone a recent revamp.
It first opened four years ago in a Victorian building near the Bargate.
Visitors can enjoy "modern Chinese dishes in a glamorous and spectacular setting".
TOP CATCH FISH & CHIPS
Top Catch Fish & Chips has been named one of the top 50 fish and chip takeaways in the country by Fry Magazine.
It has a site Commercial Road and also in Shirley Road.
It is among the best fish and chip serving restaurants in the city on Trip Advisor.
WHAT A PIZZA
This new eatery opened on Shirley Road earlier in the week.
Not Italian in the strictest sense, the venture has grown over the last few years from a delivery service to a dining restaurant.
Their pizzas are baked in a real wood-fired oven.
