Kenneth Grahame’s classic riverbank tale will be told by award-winning theatre company, Calf2Cow, on August 27 at Itchen Valley Country park.

Charlotte Hall, creative director at The Point, said: “It’s such a thrill to be able to offer audiences the chance to enjoy a fun and relaxing theatrical experience in the beautiful setting of Itchen Valley Country Park and I can’t think of a better story than The Wind in the Willows to watch amongst the natural elements.

“There will be music, laughs and brilliant characters, and it will be a great way to spend an afternoon together as the summer starts to draw to a close.”

The Woodland Café will be serving a range of hot and cold food and drinks and tickets are priced at £12, £10 concessions.

The council’s cabinet member for health, councillor Tonia Craig, said: “It will be great to welcome audiences back to see high quality theatre organised by the talented team at The Point.

“Staging a production in the beautiful surroundings of Itchen Valley Country Park means that people can enjoy The Wind in the Willows in a COVID-safe environment.”
