A SOUTHAMPTON teenager who assaulted five people in one day has been handed a rehabilitation order.
A 17-year-old Shirley boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to his age, assaulted five people, damaged a car and smashed a mobile phone on May 30 this year.
The boy appeared at Southampton Youth Court on July 22 and pleaded guilty to two counts of assault, three counts of assault by beating and two counts of criminal damage.
He was ordered to pay £400 compensation and was handed a youth rehabilitation order.
This means the defendant must participate in Building Better Relationships and Y2A programme at as directed by Youth Offending Service for 14 days.
