Part of a Hampshire industrial site has been blown up this morning.
The large explosion at Fawley power station took place at 10am this morning, captured on camera by people across the water, and heard as far away as the Isle of Wight.
These pictures were captured by readers and our Camera Club.
The site is set to be transformed by 1,500 homes to replace the huge industrial buildings, plus a raft of community and commercial facilities.
The project was put together by a consortium headed by Fawley Waterside and approved last year.
Full demolition of the Fawley power station site is estimated to be complete in 2022.
